Due to historical reasons, the construction of the urban sewage pipe network in the old city of Zhangye is lagging behind, and the domestic sewage in the residential area cannot be discharged into the urban sewage pipe network in time but directly discharged into the nearby river. The remediation of black and smelly water bodies is directly related to the vital interests of the masses and is a long-term strategy for maintaining urban water security. In order to improve the living environment, Zhangye City has cooperated with China Railway First Bureau Group Municipal Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd. to initiate the upgrading and transformation of Zhangye City Wastewater Treatment Plant and Zhangye Economic and Technological Development Zone Circular Economy Demonstration Park Wastewater Treatment Plant and Supporting Pipeline Engineering (EPC) General Manager Contract project.
At present, the peak domestic sewage in Zhangye City is up to 80.000 tons. After the sewage treatment plant is upgraded and upgraded, the daily processing capacity will reach 80.000 tons. The quality of the backwater has all reached the Class A standard. It can be directly discharged into the Shandan River or used in the garden. Greening etc. The remaining sludge after treatment in the sewage plant is sent to the supporting sludge dehydration and drying workshop for reduction, stabilization, and harmless disposal.
