Shenzhen China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. ("CSOT" for short) was established on November 6, 2009. It is a national high-tech enterprise, famous LCD panels manufacturer, jointly established by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and TCL Group, which is the first batch of national intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration company. The entire product line covers large-size TV panels and small&medium-sized mobile terminal panels. In early 2012, China Star Optoelectronics was recognized as the first batch of strategic emerging industrial bases in Guangdong Province.

The company is located in the High-tech Park, Guangming New District, Shenzhen. It is the first high-generation panel line in China that relies entirely on independent innovation, independent teams, and independent construction. The main products are 28 inches, 32 inches, 48 inches, 49 inches, 55 inches and 110-inch LCD panel. The designed capacity is to process 100,000 glass substrates per month. In 2013, through the optimization of the production process, the capacity was innovatively up to 130,000pcs.

CSOT sewage station adopts A2O water treatment process, and the types of pollutants in the raw water are complex and diverse. According to its nature, it is divided into 6 categories: acid-base wastewater, copper etching wastewater, aluminum etching wastewater, CVD waste gas washing wastewater, dye wastewater and organic wastewater.  

The waste water station of CSOT mainly treats the waste water generated in the production process of TFT-LCD. Guangzhou Shincci Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. is entrusted by the environmental protection operation unit of Huaxing Optoelectronics Wastewater Station to provide thermal drying technical sludge reduction solutions and equipment support for the by-product sludge of wastewater treatment in the wastewater station. 
From the perspective of the nature of sludge, the remaining sludge to be treated in the production workshop includes not only heavy metal sludge, acid-base sludge, oily sludge and other inorganic substances, but also organic sludge with high organic content and easily decomposed and smelly. Therefore, two independent sludge drying reduction systems are adopted for treatment separately.

Inorganic Sludge Project Process

  1. 45 tons of inorganic sludge is discharged from the plate and frame machine. The sludge with 80±2% moisture content is fed into the 4.5m³ buffer silo through the spiral + horizontal summary scraper + lifting scraper, and then transported to the dryer by the shaftless screw conveyor at the bottom of the silo.

  2. The dryer will dehumidify and dry the sludge to 30% moisture content, pass through a second-stage discharge screw conveyor, and then enter the silo under the frame machine.

  3. The condensed waste water is collected through the pipeline and returned to the sewage tank for treatment, and the dried sludge is transported out and entrusted to a qualified company for proper disposal.

Organic Sludge Project Process
1. 50 tons of organic sludge is discharged from the centrifuge, and the sludge with 80±2% moisture content is fed into the 4.5m³ buffer silo through the screw + lifting scraper, and then transported to the dryer by the shaftless screw conveyor at the bottom of the silo.
2. The dryer will dehumidify and dry the sludge to 30% moisture content, pass through the first-stage discharge screw conveyor, and then enter the silo under the centrifuge.
3. The condensed waste water is collected through the pipeline and returned to the sewage tank for treatment, and the dry mud is transported out of the country and entrusted to a qualified unit for proper disposal.

The sludge drying reduction treatment project of China Star Optoelectronics is one of the major projects in Shenzhen to implement the transformation and upgrading of high-tech strategic industries and achieve green development. It plays a demonstrative role for the ecological development of enterprises and the creation of a better living environment.
